Viewing the videos of the flooded areas there is so depressing. I saw one this a.m. that was in Melbourne. It showed people having to swim to safety and another was of a fairly new constructed bridge completely submerged in flood waters. It reminded me in many ways of the flooding from Hurricane Katrina although the circumstances are totally different. Between the fires and the floods, my heart goes out to these people as they struggle to survive and save their homes. Also, how depressing and tragic it must be for the poor animals.

I have climbed it (long ago, in the days of ignorance) when it was covered in pockets of ice and the ground temperature was minus 7 degrees Celsius. AWESOME!
