I like everything reeking of onion and/or garlic. I often add either to recipes that don't call for them.

It's like the question of onion on pizza in Italy; most will say it doesn't belong, many pizzerias won't offer it, but other pizzerias offer it on one or two of their featured pizze.

Onions, besides being a delicious addition, make tortillas less dense.

Always make mine with onion, and garlic. Not necessarily traditionally cooked but I slice and boil some potatoes, fry onion and garlic, take that out of the frying pan, fry the potatoes a little in the same pan, add back the onion/garlic, add the egg mix, fry gently until the bottom is done then finish the top off under the grill. It's just the way we as a family like it.
