Interesting that you saw the Théâtre des Abbesses hidden away in its courtyard.

You really have a great eye, Whatagain! And I admire your boldness in taking night-time pictures, especially since they always seem to come out so well for you. Some wonderful angles and compositions in this group. Like Lugg, I particularly like the tower shot.

Place des Ternes. A beautiful curved building. One of the entrances, obviously for the coaches. I imagine very well an elegant lady getting off whilst a lad would rush to pick any horseshit. This is one of my favourite restaurants. Awfully expensive, but i have incredible memories there. Ate with 2 fantastic friends and a few monthsxago with my daughter. What a ceiling. Next to the Saudian embassy, close to parc Monceau. I loved the pink. Parc Monceau entrance. 37th floor in La Defense. Enlarging thevpic to show la tour Montparnasse. The other side. Hotel Mercure of Courbevoie.

If that first photo of the 37th floor in La Defense wouldn't make a person want to rush to Paris, I don't know what would! Brilliant!

One floor below than last time and opposite side. Seems the woods are the bois de Boulogne.

I'm a little disillusioned to learn that the La Défense gherkin, unlike the London one, is just an ordinary rectangular building in a decorative cage.

The typical Paris shot with the tower in the background. I would say Opera Garnier. Pic taken from the platform on thd top of galeries Printemps. Or was it Lafayette ? I love their old lifs, al eit i always use the stairs. Several restaurants on each floor. This one is so kitsch. The cuppola always awes me. How did i manage to look so weird ? I was early... may the 4th will be with me next week. The bssement of our hotel. Perfect, except for the Delft plates... Small but super nice.

I'm a little disillusioned to learn that the La Défense gherkin, unlike the London one, is just an ordinary rectangular building in a decorative cage. Think about it ~ the "decorative cage" is perfect because it references another tall metal structure which many people associate with Paris. Whatagain, I was stupidly going to ask what you had against Delft plates before remembering & backing off that can of worms. Is that basement like that because it's very very old, or just made to look that way? I feel strongly that you fit in quite well with the backgrounds in both those dept. store pictures. Love that photo taken from the 37th floor in La Defense and also the one of Palace Garnier with the dramatic sky behind it.

I had to eat in Delft plates for years and have to hate that.
Thanks for spotting the sky. I didn't when i took the pic but was amazed by what i captured. Yesterday was a day of all skies : overcast, mostly blue etc but no rain.
The basement is just old. It is often the case in Paris.
