Here is a test to determine what your waking/sleeping cycle is. I thought I was very much a morning type but it turns out that I am only "moderate morning." Morningness/Eveningness questionnaire

By 1 point, I am a "morning type", which I find surprising compared to you, Kerouac, since by the time I look at AnyPort, you seem to have been on for a couple of hours.

I got a 66 which falls in the moderate morning category. But, I noticed with some of the questions my answers would have been different forty years ago. Generally years ago I would have been more up and at 'em than I am now. It takes me longer to get going first thing. I've always needed an alarm clock, mainly for the security of knowing I wouldn't oversleep, but when the alarm went of I'd roll over to switch it off and continue on to my feet and start putting my clothes, then straight out the door (this is when I used to work for a living).

I got a score of 58. It suggested that I use my light box for 30 minutes sometime between 0600 and 0700 when I first get up. Good idea.

When I was working I'd jump out of bed at 0600 and get straight into the shower. Jeff was always out of bed before 0600 so I didn't need an alarm clock. Now that I'm a lady of leisure I refuse to get out of bed before 0700 on principal but I'm still more alert in the mornings. If I have to make appointments, meet friends etc I always prefer morning...the earlier the better. We very rarely go out at night these days...a visit to a restaurant will invariably be at lunchtime rather than the evening. We tried to go out for a drink and meal on our anniversary but we wanted to come home by 9pm and skipped the meal

I scored 69 as well.
Definitely a morning person.
I was much more of an early riser and online easily by 5 a.m.
I remember I would be online early, usually at the same time as HWINPP. It was during that time in the early days of APIAS that I became acquainted with many of the Europeans both on here and the Meeting Pot. The most memorable were the times with Henning and we became great buddies, PMing, his sense of humor was endearing and special.

I scored 57, intermediate. I am a better morning person now that my husband is retired. Not having to be up at any specific time seems to have made me more flexible. When I have to get up really early, I seem less bothered by it. Maybe because when I do it is for something I need to do or something I really want to do. Before my husband retired, I was more of a night person, sometimes up until 4:00 am.

68, I always like to get things done in the morning, but feel I can cope at any time.
Thank Gawd I am retired and can generally suit myself
