The Parc de la Villette is one of the few large Parisian parks open after dark. Apart from a few of the main walkways, the lighting is not overdone and allows you to appreciate being out in the dark.
And of course the Canal de l'Ourcq running through the park is excellent, too.

I was headed to a special event called L'art dans la nature. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it is a Spanish creation.

Nice except for the eyeballs. What a good idea to light it all up like that.

This walk was frankly a bit challenging, being in the dark a lot of the time with the ground covered with wet leaves, but at least the rain had stopped. I'm thinking that the experience might not be as dramatic once all of the leaves have fallen, but I do not exclude a return in case the park gets covered with snow. It will all be here until January 21st.

This is spectacular!! Not only is it visually entertaining, it seems that the essence of Dali was captured without any lazy use of the obvious. Even the famous melting clocks were used in a fun way that also seemed practical, considering the dark night. I do hope you get a chance to go back if it snows. Your pictures are wonderful. Thank you for taking us to this singular event!

What a unique opportunity for a stroll through the park.
I liked the snails and also how the eggs changed colors when touched. I think it will all look incredible with a fresh coating of snow! Especially if it is a sticky snow that grips the tree branches.
We have a street light pole at the top of our driveway that floods the hillside with light and my favorite is when (like last night!) a sticky snowfall happens that totally coats all the branches and watching the snow falling through the light.

Wow absoltely spectacular. Your photos are really fab, I particularly appreciate them as I struggle so much with night time photography.
My fave sequence is that of the snails but so much else to feast my eyes upon.

I sent your video to my daughter for an idea of what to do with the children in Paris. She said it was 20€ per adult and 15€ per kid, which makes it 70€ for a walk in the park. Too bad but that is really expensive.
