So interesting. The quality of the product is very impressive. Well, it would have to be in order to show it off in Florence!
The restaurant looks like the platonic dream of where to eat in Italy!

Thanks Mick - I do enjoy seeing her travels and am yearning for one of the satchels , preferably green !! What?! You don't want the Hello Kitty bag? I agree, the bags are really nice. The first time you mentioned where your daughter works, Mick, I looked on their website. The "satchels" look just like what I carried on my back to school when I was a little kid in England. They are very nice but expensive.

The Hello Kitty account has actually been terrific.
Cambridge are now part of the Swaine group. If you think Cambridge are expensive check out the Swaine products. The umbrellas are £500 each!

Wonderful that your daughter gets to travel as part of her employment Mick. The restaurant looks lovely.
Many of those bags do come with a shoulder cross body strap. I have only bought cross body bags for many years now needing the hands-free option too. While some may be expensive, for myself, the quality made handbags are worth the expense, my current purse I have been using for over 5 years.

Deep off-season like January is really the only way to enjoy the historic center of Florence. It's completely awesome minus the tourist crush.

Wonderful pictures and wow, the thrill of getting to go inside the cathedral. Even so, in one of the photos there appears to be a line of people waiting in the cold to get in.
When I was admiring Fumobici's reports on Florence, I blithely ignored the fact that he was there very early in the season in some of those reports and went out either early in the morning or in the rain for others. My trip was in May and it was the one place where I really wound up hating & being overwhelmed by the number of tourists.
Edited to add that we simul-posted & I'm only now seeing the most recent group of pictures. The one of the view over the olive trees is about as beautiful as anything I've ever seen!
