How brilliant. Nothing here but I will watch it on the iPlayer as they have a live stream from the USA.

People need to remember to wear a helmet because of all of those pieces of Boeing falling out of the sky.

Well, what we're getting of the totality -- @69% -- is far less dramatic than I would like. There is no cloud cover & the birds are quieter than usual, but only drama is the somewhat eerie light outside, a light I doubt I would have noted had it not been for knowing about the eclipse.
There will be another one in 2045, so I'll just have to hold out & wait for that one.

Well, what we're getting of the totality -- @69% -- is far less dramatic than I would like. My experience is that partial solar eclipses are pretty dull. Kind of like lunar eclipses.

My son, who has been staying at my home periodically, was having a problem today with the garage door opener. We both blamed it on the eclipse.

We had the last total eclipse in France in 1999. Paris was at about 98% but even those 2% are brighter than the brightest moon.

We only had 37% eclipse in Montana, and it was mostly cloudy.
But the clouds thinned as the eclipse was happening, and with our eclipse glasses from the 2017 total eclipse, we were able to see the chunk missing from the sun.

I will be 90 years old when the next total eclipse occurs in my part of the world. Glad we made the effort to see the 2017 total solar eclipse in Idaho’s Lost River Mountains. Very magical experience.

Kimby, I am so glad that you all got to see it!
The next one will be less than a month after my 96th birthday. Looking forward to it.
