Starting tomorrow, 14th April, and officially lasting to 16th. Everybody is back home in the provinces, traffic is a breeze! Until Sunday, that is... Here are some pics of how KNY is celebrated in Siem Reap. They're taken from my office balcony. The dancing troupe goes all over town and dances for the shop owners. A charming little tradition that doesn't exist anymore in Thailand. When my girlfriend saw it she said it was just like in her village 30 years ago. Also a couple of pics taken right after KNY, during the first rain. For those of you who were in SR a couple of years ago, you won't recognise it

Hey, happy new year then! I hope you'll be posting more pictures of Siem Reap and Phnom Penh soon. I'm going to be posting some, and we can compare how things have changed.

It's just a dancing troupe. A small set of dancers and musicians. They dance for money and in turn bless the shop.

I know that corner in photograph number three. Many's the coffee I'd had there.
