I listen to a radio show on NPR most a.m.'s and on it they give a brief list of people born on the day. I know there is probably a more extensive list available. Today's were a curious combination I thought.

I debated even putting her in there because of the ire it might provoke(as it did in me). JJ is a British poet who wrote "When I am an Old Woman I shall Wear Purple..." which apparently surpassed Dylan Thomas's poem about "going into that gentle night.." for an award. The poem went on to spawn the thousands of Red Hat Societies throughout the world among women (maybe some men belong too,don't know).
