Are you not feeling well, or is this a therapeutic thing you usually do?
More herbal tea here. It is only 13:30 here and I'm working.

Aperitif of Pineau bought from France for Mrs Faz. Almost the end. Not certain what to buy for her as she won't drink aniseed flavoured drinks. Myself, I had an ouzo. With the meal we had some Cretan red and white.

lagatta - something i always do. well, not always, but i have phases. well i started with magnesium because i sometimes got pain in my arm when i was climbing a lot, and the doctor said it might be due to lack of magnesium. and the vitamins because while i try to eat enough fruit especially now in winter i do worry i might not really get enough... and then i decided to add calcium. well not sure if it helps any - but since i drink each of them with half a litre of water, it at least ensures more or less that i drink enough per day...

Oh, I take calcium and magnesium all the time, but that is because a) I was allergic to milk as a child and b) I'm an old fart. But I take pills. Sure with a bit of water, but not half a litre.

well those i have dissolve in the water and give it a ncie taste. they are probably not all that good, and have sugar and stuff, but it also makes the water taste more interesting... well i was never allergic to milk but never particularly liked it either. except chocolate milk, i still sometimes drink that...

Well, half a liter is just over a pint (0.5 liter = 16.907 011 351 ounce [US, liquid]), so a big glass of water. What about that "bit of water" for taking pills? I thought that a full glass of water, i.e., at least 8 ounces, was necessary to make sure the pill went all the way down and began dissolving in the stomach. Also, wouldn't more water make the pill less likely to upset the stomach?

I'm afraid instead of eating I mostly drank beer today... this was not my fault however, and I was yanked out of bed and immediately brought to a burlesque show. A burlesque show in Calgary demands beer consumption

Oh, you ladies are grim. I am having a gin and tonic. I think G&T both began life as allegedly medicinal concoctions, so you can think of a G&T as a health drink if you like.

It isn't in my glass yet, but will be shortly. I bought a bottle of Sancerre that was on promotion today and am looking forward to enjoying a sip or two...

Early to be drinking now (I'm currently sipping a glass of water). But I do have a Portuguese red wine, Herdade das Albernoas, from alentejano in the south, which I'll open up later with supper.
But it doesn't have a screwtop. A lot of quite decent wine does nowadays. I'd lost the habit of having to mash the cork back into the bottle. Well, I could drink the whole bottle, but am not planning to.

After a sample taste of Don Ramón Tequila Reposao (on special this month at Costco Mexico), I opened an old favorite; Cerveza Victoria, to accompany some Tillamook Sharp Cheddar and seeded crackers.

I wish I could enjoy tequilla I'm sure the stuff you can get in Mexico is wonderful... but I've drank so much cheap crap so excessively, I don't think I can even look at a bottle now.

In the Dominican Republic, I drank some local brandy that was just as good as (standard grade) cognac, and I think that quite a few Latin American countries make something comparable... but I don't know the name of it.
