Got a bit of a favour to ask you...
There is a girl on another forum I belong to who has 2 severely autistic boys, one of them goes to a special school which has been shortlisted to recieve a makeover courtesy of Terence Conran and The Times.
If you get a minute could you please visit this site: mydeco.com/the-magazine/yourspace-shortlist and vote for Reynalds Cross Special school (think it's the 3rd one along) there is a description written by the girl on the site:
"This is my son's severe needs School ex caretakers house which they want to convert into a space where the children can learn life skills and somewhere parents can meet for teaching/support. Reynalds Cross is a severe learning disability school.The children have severe learning,communication, physical difficulties and complex medical needs. The PTA and staff are trying to fix the house but we just don't get the time. My son is 6,autistic,doesn't talk,still in nappies,behvioural difficulties due to communication difficulties,major climber,escape artist."
