Oh ~ I didn't comment on Django! I adore that second picture, so lively and engaged.
Today is national pet day, in the US at least, so bring on the pet portraiture!

Was beautiful Dora a stray? My utterly lovely wee black Livia was a street cat; her mum and bro have also been rehomed. Livia is solid black, mum and bro are a bit tuxie. They are all small, and all lovely. Mum took wonderful care of her boy and girl.

She is rather gorgeous - thank you. ( Yes tabby/ ginger and white) She belonged to a friend who has had a tough time recently, and for various reasons, is living with her daughter for the time being so she was looking to re-home her. She had not had her that long as she was a rescue before that. So lots of change for her in her life so far. She seems to be settling really well and her and Zeb are getting along just fine. She'd lived with a dog previously and Zeb had lived with Buzze.

Bit of a scare yesterday. Took daughter's beagle to the groomers and when we picked him up she told us he had a lump on his neck under his collar. He also looks like he has been losing weight and his system has been out of sorts for a while (not unusual as he picks up all sorts of rubbish).
At the vets within the hour but he is certain it is his thyroid gland and his weight only 1 kilo down on 2 years ago. Relief!
Off for blood test this morning.

My kitten are still communists. In a few days they will open their eyes. They have a great life. Eat, sleep. Sometimes one wants to explore further than the wardrobe. And falls into the drawer.

Kittens are so adorable.....bet your kittens are huge now Whatagain...did you take any photographs of them? Django yesterday...don't know why his ears are back...but I WAS pretending to be a pretentious photographer 'Yes...that's IT baby...give me your best adorable face! POUT!' I think he was a bit worried about me....

"I didn't sign on for this."
He looks so noble and severe, but I'll bet he's a bouncy boy in real life.

Those beagles. They’re so smart, but you can’t trust them for a minute. Sneaky, lovable, little thieves.

Mick, you put a net on your apple tree to keep dogs away?

Yes, but it wasn't very succesful.
I shall retrain it to produce apples where he can't reach.
Htmb is so right. They just live to eat. He's removed toast from my hand before now because I wasn't concentrating.

You can tell by his expression that he knows he's in the wrong, which makes it even a worse crime.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned my son’s beagle - often a short-term visitor here with me - actually did time. He was trained for several months by a minimum security inmate in the "paws on parole" program. Sweet little dog, but when I walk him I double-up on the leashes, and add a harness, since he’s great at wriggling out of his regular collar.
