This is considered to be the easiest cake recipe in France: 4 ingredients each weighing 250g. 3 eggs 250g sugar 250g butter 250g flour 1 pinch of salt --- Soften the butter and mix it evenly with the sugar. Add egg yolks and mix evenly. Add sifted flour and mix evenly. Whip the egg whites until they are firm with a pinch of salt. Add 1/4 of the egg white to loosen the mixture, then fold in the rest carefully with a wooden spoon. Put the mixture in a deep rectangular cake pan. Bake about 45 minutes in a hot over (180°-200°C) Take out of the pan to cool. Naturally, flavorings (lemon, vanilla...) can be added, as well as other small ingredients (chopped nuts, dates, dried fruit pieces...).

Well, you are a silly Frog goose to have gotten it so wrong. Or should I say half wrong, since a pound would half describe how much cake there is? Or is that too much like two wrongs make a right?
