This is a very popular food related subject in North America and lists are produced all the time - and hotly debated. I adore burgers and enjoy the pictures almost as much as the taste. The Best Burgers in America

I quite like burgers occasionally. And I think they're not really that unhealthy if you use ingredients that aren't too processed. Meat with bread and vegetables.
Watch out for the pics, K2, will go and put them in the gallery of food oddities!

There is a French site devoted to hamburgers. It is subtitled "the webzine of bad eating" but you can tell that all of the people who post there absolutely adore hamburgers. My Burger

Bison, yum. Fairly simple, on a good bun - a baker at the Jean-Talon market makes nice ones that are just crunchy enough - not like a baguette but not like industrial bread either - in season with a slice of ripe tomato and some lettuce, and whatever condiments people want. I don't make them often, but there is nothing unhealthy about the kind of burgers I make.

I love a burger. I recently tried a GBK Blue cheese burger and its my current favorite. At the moment burgers on the BBQ are all getting the blue cheese treatment, its a winning combination.

I'm so excited that Port of Call is on here. Have not been in a while but ,deserved of their mention. (As an aside, indirectly related but must tell; one of the owners of this establishment and Mr. C. were thrown out of the Cub Scouts for letting off fireworks during a camping trip).

Port of Call certainly looks like a place where I'd want to go.
I love the caramelised onions on Boston Burger, but there is no way I could get a thing of that dimensions into my mouth, which rather defeats the purpose. A thin raw round of mild onion is lovely on a burger too.
I'm sure imec, who lives where the buffalo roam (well, not in the city) has had bison, but has anyone else? We fed it to Argentine friend C, who says it tastes much more like pampas beef than our beef, fairly tasteless to her even when we buy organic.
