do you play? And which do you watch? Do you go to see any live stuff?
I play: Short football, snowboarding, (the gym is not a sport, right?)
watch on TV: anything except horseracing!! Mainly rugby and football, did watch the superbowl and still have NASN channels to watch baseball all summer long.
I very occasionally go to watch rugby at Saracens here in the UK, used to go to every home match of ASBH when I was living in France. I try to see 3 stages of the Tour de France every year, normally in the mountains and that is about it.

I no longer play any sport, I have over the years played, hockey, netball, volley ball. I also did modern dancing, ballet (for the shortest time), drum majorettes and ice skating.
I love watching cricket and will watch Rugby world cup.
I will spend a lot of money going to watch an ODI at Centurion, Supersport Park. (cricket One Day International)

I play table tennis and tennis, swimming at the sports club here. I'll only now watch major sporting events if they're on. I'll always try and watch the Dakar Rally.

I played tennis when I was in school, but never seriously. These days I ride bikes quite a bit but for utilitarian reasons in the city rather than big trips out into the countryside.
On TV, I am most interested in rugby, tennis and football, in that order. Something that I absolutely cannot stand is basketball. Then there is golf, which I do not even consider to be a sport.

I feel the same about cricket.

I heard a very funny conversation on "Fighting Talk" a comedy debate/quiz based on sports on radio 5Live here in the UK (and the internet) They were debating for points how you defing a sport and a passtime.
The consensus was if you need to shower after it, then it is a sport. If not, its a passtime.
Other suggestions were: If you have to change clothes to play then its a sport, and if darts players can play it, it is a passtime.
They do a free download podcast on BBC 5 live website of from Itunes. This is how I hear it because it is broadcast at 1100 on a saturday morning here.

Makes sense, but creative minds can include lots in this category I guess.

I do nordic walking, hiking (yes, both require a shower afterwards) and a bit of skiing. I watch soccer, a little bit of tennis (only when Roger is playing) and ski races.

I cycle and swim (prefer the Atlantic) but settle for a pool here.
I am a rabid Boston Red Sox fan (dates back to when Carl Yastzremski's family farmed potatoes next to us in NY,well before the CURSE was lifted). I went to school in Boston and lived very near Fenway Park and went to games all the time(when it cost $1.00 to sit in the bleachers). Gone are those days...
