Sorry about that komosol, don't know what happened. Tried again and same thing happened . It works initially and then goes to error. In the meantime more important things closer to home this weekend with the AL East! Yankees/Red Sox will duke it out for clinching #1. Playing in NY . Will be exciting. This is the best time of year for baseball. Damn, I wish nic was here!

I saw the end of the Angels game on ESPN. A shocking call by the plate ump really spoiled it for me. The standard of plate calls on Balls/strikes is normally good and always consistent. But what a shocker to walk in the tying run in the 9th with bases loaded. I switched it off because it ruined the whole spectacle for me. May not visit MLB again for a bit.

I was looking at Yankees and Boston this evening (here) and enjoying it because it looked like Boston would win. so.... cue a big rally by the pinstriped wankers to turn it around to 4 - 2!!! cue me to then switch it off (the equivelant of leaving the stadium early)

Finally saw some decent ball this evening... Detroit winning a close one and Curtis Granderson hitting a real rainbow of a home run late on to make the closing a bit easier. Not Brave or a Yankee in sight today, happily!

My guys got romped by Toronto but Francona gave the regular guys the night off to rest up for the play offs. I hope they play better then they have of late. I love MLB this time of year!

Not that I am planning on watching, but I must take a close look at my cable guide to see if this stuff is even available in France. My nephew is arriving for a visit next week and, who knows, he might need to know this stuff.

If he's a MLB fan I imagine he will have scoped this out himself. Somehow, a young man foot loose in Paris,I would think that baseball, even the playoffs would take a backseat. Yet, one never knows. I passed up a couple of cool things to do this past weekend to watch the AL East rivalry, and for what? But, I was not in Paris

Blew game #3 after having a lead. Eliminated. My only hope now is that someone creams the Yankees. Right now, both L.A. teams are poised. Conceivably could be a L.A. World Series. Don't know if that's ever happened before.

Currently the Eastern and Western Divisions of both the American and National Leagues are duking it out. The NY Yankees lead the LA Angels 2-1,and the Philadelphia Phillies lead the LA Dodgers 3-1. The winners will then go on to the World Series. The games are best of seven. It could conceivably be an all LA World Series which would be interesting, but at this point anything could happen. I just don't want the Yankees to win.

What do you have against the Yankees other than the fact that they are insufferable arrogant bastards? They remind me of Parisiens! I am assuming that The Rally Monkey has last his magical powers for the Angels these days? Last night would have been perfect for him. I stopped watching the game (very late here) when Pay-Rod hot his home run to make it 4 or 5 to nil. I gather that I did not miss much in terms of the Angels!

N.Y. hasn't clinched it yet. There is still hope and then if they do they can always get tromped in the Series.
