If there's anything that I like more than the action-adventure genre, it's noir/hard boiled/whatever. The Grifters, Mulholland Falls, L.A. Confidential: these are all modern classics of the genre. And now it looks like the talented Tomas Jane is tossing hat into the arena with Give 'em Hell Malone. Dig: Trailer:

Would you include Chinatown in this genre too? Absolutely. For other pictures from around the same time as "Chinatown", check out... oh, "Badlands"' "The Long Goodbye", "Night Moves", and "Get Carter". Note: The version of "The Long Goodbye" you want is the one by Robert Altman.
