Sometimes gardeners will torture certain plants to make them look like trees.

Nice, Amboseli! More trees. This is upland hammock, about 1/3 of the way out on a section of an 18 mile long bike trail (that has recently been expanded by even several more miles). Running between Gainesville and the city of Hawthorne, the trail was built on the right-of-way of an old rail line that borders the north rim of Paynes Prairie. /div]

Hmmmm.....for you it's payback for all those fantastic videos of Paris you have been posting. If I didn't have a visit to Paris coming up soon, I would have to force myself to stay away from some of your threads since it would be absolute torture.

How the heck did that get up there. That tree is at least 30 feet tall.

I'm also fascinated by the parasol pines. There were so many of them in Sardinia. And I know we will see lots of them in the Languedoc/Roussillon in two weeks.
