Yes,they are from a bus. I had just landed at JFK and was able to catch the airport bus that picks up at the major terminals and then shoots you right into mid-town Manhattan all for the bargain price of $15.00USD.,as opposed to $40.00 sometimes $50.00 for a cab.The same cab drivers that try to get you to go with them you can see sitting in the same traffic outside the mid-town tunnel. Best deal in town. The two tall tower looking things in the second picture are remnants of the NY Pavilion from the World's Fair of 1963-4. It's where I heard Led Zeppelin in 1970 right at their beginnings. I love the sight of Manhattan in the distance. Note the sign in the last picture as we're approaching the Midtown Tunnel, NO PHOTOS or VIDEOS  |
