I want that "French" one! I think the "Mexican" one might be a chilacayote, although I've never seen one with a topknot like that. The inside is stringy like spaghetti squash and it has black seeds. It makes one of my favorite "aguas".

The Japanese ones are/were popular in Germany as I left. My sister used to make pumpkin soup out of them.
