What's with the flood of Dinosaurs on the touring circuit? Has the massively successful AC/DC tour created a new hysteria over 80's and even 70's acts? Are people looking for something else to fill the void following the necessary cancellation of the MJ comeback?
In the last week alone 2 of these acts have been confirmed for my town - Guns and Roses for January and (*holds nose very tightly*) Bon Jovi - in the football stadium no less!!! Mercifully, the Def Leppard show has been cancelled along with the rest of their tour I gather.
Other "notables" on tour include REO Speedwagon, Metallica, Rick Springfield, Ratt, Heart, KISS, Blue Oyster Cult, Megadeth, Skid Row... WTF? Most of these guys weren't much good the first time around. Who's paying to see these relics? Who's responsible???

;D Your post made me laugh. Who's paying for these relics? The people who have the money, and that would appear to the the older folk, the ones who 'grew up' with these groups. It's a good way to feel 20 again I think. As much as I like some of the Rolling Stones' older songs, it always makes me cringe a little seeing them on stage on T.V. where they have just recently performed somewhere. I'm always hoping that one them isn't going to fall of the stage of have a heart attack or something.
