It's tragic and very sad that these innocent children have to live like this. Thanks for highlighting this, Kerouac.
I so want to pick up that little baby on the floor in one of the pictures.
Some time in the future, I want to look seriously at trying to do what I can to help out with children in the cities of India. Not sure at this point in time how to go about it, but no doubt I will figure something out.
It makes all our little problems seem to trivial really. You are right, they are kids, like in any other country. Why some have so much in this world, while others just like them, have nothing? It's easy for us to close our minds and hearts to these street children, it's easier to look away, then to face up to it, or even acknowledge it. The poverty stricken kids of this mighty world that we live in, are a shameful, secret that is brushed under the carpet way too often.
