Saskatchewan 27, Montreal 25 - one play left in the game - Montreal attempts a field goal and misses. But wait! Saskatchewan has too many men on the field - 10 yard penalty, clock is reset. Montreal kicks the field goal and wins by 1 point!

It was an extraordinarily exciting game. Wonder who else even knows what the Grey Cup is.
There will be a parade tomorrow, and the weather is supposed to be exceptionally nice for December.
Although the Alouettes are a very good team and I really like Calvillo, I'm kind of sad for friends in Saskatchewan as CFL football is so much bigger there. Here there is One Sport and its Name is Les Canadiens (please don't think I'm being disrespectful, Muslim readers, we have reams of Catholic allusions such as La Sainte Flannelle - no, not the cloth used to wipe Jesus' face, the old tricolore hockey sweaters when they really were sweaters).
Alas not only does Saskatchewan lack an NHL team (neither of its major cities are very big), even Winnipeg, with a much larger population, no longer has one. TV markets dictated that it was better to establish teams in Sunbelt cities where the only ice is in long drinks and kids don't skate or play hockey.
Though I'm not sure the marketing estimates are as relevant as 20 years ago.
Anthony Calvillo is an unusual Mensch (in the Yiddish sense) for a pro athlete. He took off a whole season to be with his wife who was ill with cancer (it seems she has recovered).

When are the Rough Riders playing the Roughriders for all the frozen marbles? That's the question the world is asking.

It was sad watching what Serge Savard did to the Habs.

Is this some kind of insider sport? Do I need a secret handshake to be let in?
