Tonight we were having vitello tonnato. The veal is sliced, the mayonnaise is made, I reach for the little can of tuna - and it isn't. I have been bamboozled by something else entirely and haven't restocked with tuna.
OK, tha mayo had capers and gherkins instead. Not quite the same.
