Would you say you are a risk taker? Or do you prefer to ponder over things for a while, see all the angles, and then try and make a decision after thinking it through?
Or does it depend on the type of risk you are taking? Do you worry about the consequences or not really? Do you think that you are not likely to take the kind of risks you would have taken when you were younger? What has changed?
Or perhaps you take more risks now then you used to some years back?

Sometimes I am a risk taker, especially on a dangerous trek, but I never take risks with money. I'm sure this has held me back from making lots of it.
I'm not good at thinking things through; indeed perhaps I've never done that. Perhaps I should start now.
I imagine I took more risks when I was younger because I wouldn't have cared about the consequences. I am more cagey now as there is more to lose.
Deyana - do you think that people who do not take risks and always 'sit on the fence' are boring? I do.

I was more foolhardy in my younger years, but I have been generally good at evaluating real risks.
There are certain things that I would not do, like jump out of an airplane or dive off a bridge, even attached to a bungee cord.

I think with me it depends on the risk. I've always been a risk taker, but over the years have trained myself to be more careful. Not an easy task, it so goes against the grain and who I really am.
Spindrift, yes they can be at times, but I guess we are all different.
Keoruac, I'd love to jump out of a plane and even fly a plane, but like many things in my life, I just haven't had the chance to do it.

Deyana - I tend to avoid boring people and that's why my life has always been complicated

I can't blame you, Sprindrift. But sometimes we have little choice.

I admire people who takes risks and at the same time I have no pity for them if something terrible happens.

I am hesitating to take the risk of doing a 4 year degree course at University. I am not accustomed to hesitating at all and its a crappy feeling.

Just go for it, Iain. If I had the time, I'd do the same.

It's not like a prison -- you can leave if it doesn't suit you. Yes, you will have to live with yourself as a failure afterwards if you do that...

Iain, I am about to to the same. go on... if you don't do it, you will regret it for the rest of your life.
Edited to say that I do believe it isn't a risk anyway.
I personally avoid taking risks. I like my little boring life.
