Just for the record, the narration and dialogue in this short come exclusively from authentic Slovenian archives. (Obviously, the content would be valid for almost every country in the world, so this in nothing against Slovenia.)

A brief tour of Philadelphia, USA. This is the richest country in the world.

You could make very similar ones about Paris (or almost any city). Might become viral, even.

Yes, but that first video had more than 2 million views in 24 hours. And no, you will not find the same videos about Paris. There are "bad" areas but never as bad as that, and the streets are cleaned every day. I am surprised that you had the usual visceral reaction about the need to defend America when bad things are shown.
When little kids are caught out doing something they shouldn't, their usual reaction is to say "but so-and-so did the same thing!" This absolutely does not cancel the fault.

The bottom line is that better social welfare programs make for a better society. Areas such as those shown in the video would still exist in the US, even with expanded social programs, but the probability is that they would not be as large nor as bad.

This is so horrifying that I don't want to believe that these people exist. (And yes, I know that the smarter people were edited out.)

It was too painful to go to the end.
My favourite:
“Who fought in the Civil War?
“Nazis v Germany”

You know how the Milky Way rotates over the night sky? What if it was from the perspective of the Earth rotating?

I'll just post the link to this rather than a specific one, but there is a man who makes "Sandwiches of History" from old recipe books. How about a nasturtium leaves sandwich from 1896? www.youtube.com/@sandwichesofhistory/videosEdited to add an hour later - other nationalities, especially the Americans, may decry the British for eating crisp sandwiches. I'd just like to mention Florence A. Cowles, an American journalist and cookbook writer, in her “1001 Sandwiches” of 1936 had one in there.

Sorry, I need to insult those countries on the Continent as well somehow to balance it out. I'm sure I'll think of something.

In Sandwiches of History, I don't understand the insistence on adding parmesan to a mixture already considered too salty.
Kerouac, do you think that's why they're eaten together? I don't think so. It's just a very nice combination.

He seems to do this 'plus up' thing with all those I've watched. Not sure how he decides what to add.

In the anchovy sandwich segment, he mentions that the suggestions were sent in by people who watch the videos.

Oh, okay. That makes me wonder though how can they suggest things before the video is made. Unless he does it twice or something. No matter though.

Nope.
I remember years ago when youtube posted music videos and then amateurs came on to do interesting things. Now it's all very commercialised and even those who stuck it out for a while and never plugged stuff always seem to have a "sponsor". I'm thinking especially of a man who is known as "Cruising the Cut" (canal boat travels in the UK). Originally I thought he was just an amateur showing his lifestyle. But then I found out he is a professional journalist and went of him a bit. Now every video cuts to him plugging something.

The problem with YouTubers is once they become popular, with hundreds of thousands of views per video, they decide they want to make a profession of it and stop their day job. And then the sponsors jump in with promises to double or triple their earnings. It must be hard to resist since you can become unpopular just as fast as you became popular.
