Uck ~~ we just had a little earthquake here. It was one of the side-to-side ones. Those always leave me a little unsteady feeling -- like when you've been on a boat for a long time, then step on to land.
It was strange, because I heard this one before I felt it. I thought there was a dog growling outside, & couldn't understand why my dog didn't react.

I wonder if the Charlies felt it. They are on rock & I'm on an ancient riverbed, so we feel the earthquakes differently.

When one uses the 50 last posts function, and this is the top of the list, and you have not seen the context ................ I have only experienced that once, in Taiwan, and in a highrise building while waiting for a typhoon to hit. Scary. Bix, don't the dogs react to earthquakes?

Some do. Mine doesn't.
I suppose, having read that, you and everyone will be immensely kinder to me from now on, right?

After that traumatic experience, Bixa is going to be up all night and will be with us during the entire European/African day. Run for cover.

My dogs are always oblivious to earthquakes.

The dogs could be impressive when I lived in the city. Once everything settles down, you can hear them barking all howling all over the place.
My dog is indifferent to earthquakes, but he really hates fireworks.
