Kind of a shame that two of the most well-known images in art history are cropped out of the pic because of limitations in fitting it on the screen. You can just see the man's cigar, but here's the couple on the extreme right side:

She has a monkey and a little dog. Look closely and you can see she's holding their leashes.

Yes, I think the monkey is a symbolic representation of England in the painting.
