We have Spindrift paying us a visit on Monday (she is staying with a friend about an hour's drive away).
I wonder who the next Porter will be?

Who knows what might happen on July 21st?
(Just kidding, I have to drive from Avignon to Paris that day, and Faz Cottage is not exactly on the route.)

Agreed, it is a trek over from Avignon to just north of Cahors. You would have to leave very easrly. But you would be welcome for lunch.

The lovely Spindrift came today, shedding blonde glamour in our backwoods village. A photo will be put up if it gets her approval (she was concerned about not having a side view).

Spindrift prefers police style profile mug shots? I find that hard to believe!

She refused to swim in our pool with the feeble excuse she handn't brought her swimsuit. Au poil, I say, but no.

I need to introduce her to my bf then, ;D Spinny would look gorgeous either way. Who cooked the dinner tonight then, baz?

She didn't stay for dinner. We have grandchildren.

Stuffed, or just barbecued?

The grandchildren made a BBQ just for themselves last night (we ate later when it was peaceful). You would not think that having a barbecue meant 4 pans were dirtied.

I'm back at home after a splendid week in France. I've taken lots of pics and I'll put some up in due course. How lovely it was to see the Fazes in their new house which is cosy and picturesque! Mrs Faz baked a tasty lemon sponge cake and we had an excellent tea. Baz ~ it seemed such a long journey from our place to your place. Perhaps that's because we stopped off to see all those Bastide towns on the way. We made a detour to Le Bugue on the way back for a pizza - the bistro d'en face was closed at Tremolat. Je regrette que j'ai quitte la belle France Deyana - thanks for the compliment

Only a one week holiday? (I should talk; that's all I'm taking...)

Only a one week holiday? (I should talk; that's all I'm taking...) But that is on top of Phuket and Goa.

So funny! I told a friend of mine that I'd just arrived back from France and he replied in these terms ~

Here we are on Monday in the garden of Faz Cottage. Spindrift is laughing with pleasure at the thought of the whelks her friend has promised to give her.

Lovely pic! Such a beautiful lush garden. Assuming the charming lady at the left is Mme Faz? Great pic of spindrift.

It doesn't look like one imagines after all those stories about the snow. (Great picture!)
