Pouring with rain here. Very welcome as it's the first in weeks.

And still pouring. That's enough. Bring back the sun.

It's been overcast for the past few hours, not a terrible thing as it seems less hot.

Heavy rain with high winds set in last night.
I awoke to the sound of some nearby tree limbs crashing down (gratefully not in our yard save a large elderberry that we were in the process of cutting down until the battery on the chain saw lost it's juice and we just left it with the idea we would finish it today).
4,500 power outages in the metro area (fingers crossed).
Minutes ago some hail started to fall.( My cat is staring out of the balcony door fascinated by this.)
Radar indicates this will continue until @ 1 p.m.
We really needed the rain but, not all this.

At the moment (nearly 4 pm), it's rather muggy and windy outside. 23°C and rain forecast. Fortunately, we haven't been getting the hail they announced yesterday or the storms, just rain, often at night.

It rained all afternoon and it was clearly not expected because I was one of the only people with an umbrella when I went out briefly. Everybody else looked miserable, because it was no longer warm either.

The rain finally stopped and the garden got a much needed real good soak.
My rain barrel is brimming over.
The temperature is supposed to dip into the 50F's tonight.
My goldfish in the pond will be confused and go back down under when the temperature drops that much especially as it feels colder being in deep shade.

Been raining for 2 days quite correctly. With sone sunshine. Today beautiful weather. Very nice after planting so much. Tod, the cat is still alive but i am expecting it to die tomorrow. Since 3 weeks now. Josephine, called Fifine, is about 18 or 19. She is getting skinny, costs a fortune in special food for aged cats, and keeps meowing all the time. Sister of Napoleon who died young - not a good idea to name a cat like that close to Waterloo... I never liked her... the kind of cat that runs away from you like you would hit it when you just fed it, cleaned her mess and opened the door for her 4 times. Bitch.
And i need to make room for kittens, our Eragon ( half maincoon) is pregnant !

very wintry, heavy rain with gales and thunder and lightning...hailstorms. Dead trees from the bushfires crashing down. The sound of the chainsaw can be heard throughout the land.

I'm just loving our weather as we ease into winter. Around Easter and the rest of May and June is the only time I feel comfortable sitting in a patch of sun. It's the right temperature to walk around the garden and see what's been happening to my veg patch, deadhead some roses and check on my little Mexican tree. It's growing tall now but has lost a few leaves so have boosted the roots with some plant vitamins.

Questa, is there much regrowth, repopulation in the bushfire areas?

As I considered your questions, Mick, I couldn't understand why I didn't know the answer. As I tried to rethink what the healing forests looked like, I suddenly remembered that I have been under a rock for nearly 3 months. The scarey part was I had forgotten that I was thus imprisoned Am I being brainwashed?
BTW yes, there is regrowth and birds are coming back...so I have been told.

After all the stormy weather yesterday, today is perfectly gorgeous.
It's clear, dry and sunny with temperatures in the mid 70F's.
I need to get out into the garden post haste and take advantage of the easy weeding, transplanting etc.
This is one of my favorite times of the year here and is one of the reasons why I am not working on the rearranging and decorating indoor projects we have been talking about.
Before we know it, the intense heat and humidity will be setting in and unless I get up at the crack of dawn it's far too hot to spend the amount of time that I can right now.

We've put the central heating back on, it's really cold and dark. Only just managed to get home from my walk with the dog before we had a heavy hail and rain storm here...it's eased off now but it's still quite dark...I may need a hot chocolate to warm me up...

The same weather as yesterday.
Dry, clear, sunny, temperatures in the mid 70F's although, less breezy.
Perfect gardening weather with a long bike ride thrown in and a long dog walk up on the levee with T. later this afternoon.
Also, we have our coffee out on our breezeway which is a covered L-shaped area with comfortable chairs and lots of plants and we can have visits with neighbors as they emerge outdoors to walk their dogs and or children.

same as yesterday and the day before..
I thoroughly enjoy it and don't want to complain but, it does require me to have to do a lot of watering in the garden. Mostly because I have a lot of young plants that I put in recently, many seedlings and the like that really need to be coddled at this point.

I wish every day of the year was like today! Clear blue sky, no wind, sun just lovely and warm but not at all hot. It was a day for being outside in the fresh air and we lingered until dusk.

That sounds lovely Tod!
It was overcast all day with a few raindrops here and there. We went to our friends down the bay and helped them put their dock in the lake. Then sat on the deck and had a beer, even without sunshine it was an enjoyable afternoon.

We had a really good hard rain early last night. It cooled everything off and the plants looked so grateful this morning. I know that feeling!! I just wish we would have more of it. Today's temperatures are supposed to be record highs. Hot, summer like heat reaching 90F. Out with the watering can and hose...

We'll be up in the mid-nineties again every day this week, although it's supposed to cool off by the weekend. At least I have rain water hoarded for the plants.

Warm and sunny today, with some wind. It was 26° this afternoon, supposed to be 30° tomorrow. But it's only the beginning of May so I hope it doesn't last.

Up to 90F today...
No rain in the forecast.
My rain barrel is full but, I can only use so much of it, most of it for container plants that I have an ever growing number of. Also, the young tender seedings I transplanted recently.

The weather in Paris is a meek 21° degrees, which is delightful for walking around but which might be insufficient if we were allowed to bask in the sun, which we are not.

After a few days of fairly hot weather a cool front pushed through yesterday morning and yesterday and today are gorgeous. Mid 70F's, sunny, breezy, clear and dry.
I am hoping for a nice soaking rain sometime soon but, am satisfied at the moment with these conditions.
A month from now or less it'll be swelteringly hot.
(During the few days when it was close to 90F, almost everyone on our block was running their AC's!! WOOSES!!)
