That's great, Mick ~ you all deserve it!
Endless gray skies and dripping rain here -- two days in a row where you can't tell what time it is because it's the same gray light from dawn to dusk.

It's raining Cajuns and Creoles here, just the beginning of torrential downpours from Tropical Storm Nicholas. There will be major street flooding in the next couple of days. I'm glad I salvaged my Wellies that were on the breezeway at the house. In the meantime, both our cat and dog are wanting to go outside. But, the most amazing thing to me is how the hummingbirds can still fly to the feeder while it's raining so hard and braving it as the wind picks up. I'm watching them as I write, astounded at their prowess.

It is finally raining in Paris after too long. I hope it continues for a few days. You can have some of ours Kerouac. It's been continuously raining here for the last two days and more on the way. "Nicholas" turned east and is basically stalled out over the whole SE LA region.

It has been raining every couple of days here for about a month. It is about 15C today with sun and cloud. The weekend sounds promising though, thankfully, we have another outdoor wedding! My goddaughters gave up on trying to plan indoor affairs.

We're still technically in a drought from our very dry summer but it's been raining off and on the past two weeks and we're forecast to get over two inches of rain over the coming weekend. I'm putting the hose reel away until next year, I'm done watering. Straight from drought to mud season again.

We are about to go away for a few days, so of course it has started to rain. We haven't had much rain at all lately. 19° at daybreak this morning.

Nice enough day...except for an earth tremor at 0930 about 128km from Melbourne. Measured at 5.9 Richter Scale...felt in Adelaide. A few buildings fell down but no reports of major injuries.
As you were.

20°, sunny with a bit of breeze here too. Am home after a weekend where rain had been forecast but in fact we had mostly nice sunny weather. Only one late afternoon of rain but that's okay -- we were all tired from a long hike in the morning.

We finally got a break from the unbearable heat and humidity here. A cool front moved in and with it clear skies and drier air. Currently 77F and lower 70F's at night. Perfect sleeping weather and lovely to sit out in the evenings with a glass of wine, chatting with neighbors as they pass by walking their dogs and or children.

That is lovely Casi, sounds enjoyable.
We are having our 5th straight day of rain and it is cool. I will not be surprised to learn this might be the wettest September in a very long time.
I have not been out of the house since last Sunday and am a bit nervous to see the state of our parking spot at the road. I am afraid to find under the gigantic tarp that the fill we had added to the spot has eroded down the hillside. We were waiting all week for the paving company to come out for a quote but they have yet to arrive. At this point, if the tarp has worked, we might have to leave it there for the winter and get the pavement done next summer.

We have had a nice September, with more warm days than we had this summer. This morning it's 17° and we should get low 20s this afternoon. A bit of rain in the past days, so the bare patches on my lawn are beginning to turn green again.

After a week of dry and cooler weather, we are having a stretch of rainy days. Intermittent downpours with breaks in between. The temperatures are in the 70F's so, it is quite pleasant. The hummingbirds continue to come and entertain with their aerobatics and my cat is fascinated sitting on the windowsill mesmerized by their show.

Inches of rain (~100mm) the past week or two, any container that can hold water outdoors is full, puddles, mud, the whole shooting works. We are officially in "moderate drought" PNW-style. It was a dry summer though I'll grant.

It was beautiful here today. Clear skies overnight meant that it was only 9° this morning, but it was sunny and 20° by afternoon.
