For the last 12 hours we've had (and are still having) a ferocious storm and warnings broadcast to stay indoors.

I just came in from working in the garden. It's 17°, sunny and really pleasant. Of course, now that it's 4 pm, it's beginning to be less bright.

Thankfully, the storm (mentioned by Spindrift earlier in this thread) that started sometime on Friday (I cycled through it back home from work) has now cleared. This afternoon being driven on Dartmoor was an enchantment. The sky felt like it had physically been cleaned.

Hot, sunny and very windy. I've been doing laundry, and the clothes dry almost as soon as they're hung up. My skin and lips feel as though they're going to split like a cicada.

Today has been cloudy. Not too cold though. It's funny saying that really, by 'not too cold', I mean it's not -27 yet! (still above zero).

This afternoon being driven on Dartmoor was an enchantment. The sky felt like it had physically been cleaned. Vigorous storms at least generally pass quickly leaving that cold and showery with sunbreaks pool of air on the backside that isn't terrible. The worst is the less energetic systems that dump rain for days on end.

Another mild sunny day -- it was 14° at 7 this morning. But I see the wind has changed and the clouds are coming from the west, so maybe we will have a bit of rain one of these days.

We got some unexpected rain last evening and afterwards a cold front moved in with a fierce vengeance. Temperatures went from mid to upper 70F's to 40F's on a very brief time. Was frantically closing windows at 2a.m. Chilly this morning.

Very suddenly it has become cool (20- 25 C), since yesterday in fact. There's a nice breeze throughout the day, the sun is shining. It'll stay like this until the middle of January. How predictable.

You're such a pessimist, Kerouac.
It's a gorgeous, sunny, mild day again here this Saturday. The wind is still blowing from the south. At 7:30 in the morning it was already 15° -- it should go to about 20 again. It certainly doesn't feel like the end of November.

It's windy and raining here but, thank goodness, it is not cold so I can save on the heating bill.
