THIS was left outside my door. Don't look if you don't like being grossed out. Surely, Santa, I haven't been THAT bad this year....there must be some other explanation.

Our next door neighbor told Mr. Kimby that he has been seeing coyotes at lot lately. And the footprints on our deck this morning are suspiciously doglike.
No new deposits, though, fortunately. That I've discovered, anyway.
Though we have heard coyotes, in the distance mostly, over the years, we have only actually seen one coyote walking through our yard, a couple years ago.

A friend who works for Fish Wildlife and Parks tells me that she thinks it is probably racoons who are leaving these lovely deposits in my planter beds - I'm astounded that a smallish animal could produce such large dumps, but I have been seeing racoon tracks in the snow, so she could be right.
