I planted three rose bushes this year. Here is the red one, together with a spider plant and a bleeding heart plant: I also planted pumpkins and sunflowers in the raised garden. They are doing really well. The pumpkins have spread all around out of the garden and onto the grass and beyond! I also have strawberries growing in a large container on the deck, the are now twirling around the sides of the fence. I will take some photos and post them up at some point.

You really have quite a bit of land!
Do you manage to eat all of those pears?

There is no way! I made a pear pie with some. And tomorrow might pick the rest of them.

A few pics I took just a couple of days ago: This so far is the biggest Pumpkin I have and really it isn't all that big. Most of them are like this one: One of my sunflowers: Another one - they have grown tall but the actual flowers are not very big: The Pumpkin Vine spread out of the raised garden: The strawberries are still growing. They are really overcrowded in that pot at the moment still:

Looks like it's still summer. When the season changes, is the transition slow or does it happen all of a sudden?

It still seems like summer this year. I'm hoping this will mean a shorter winter for us here.
It depends, Kerouac. Sometimes the Fall can last a while, but on the whole it's quite a short season and then we get winter. Winter and Summer are our longest seasons.
I just love all the Fall colors though, just too pretty.
