On Stopping at Burger King* on a Rainy Evening (With apologies to real poets everywhere.)
Whose foods these are I think I know Belonging to the Pepsico They will not see me stopping here To stop and get some Whopper chow.
My friends must think it really odder That I would eat some Whopper fodder And wait in line so long a time And pay a price that really bodders.
But I found the Fries were really nice A Giant Soft Drink big and wet; The tasty Whopper (barely hot. I question if it’s worth the price.)
And with the swift approach of dark We headed out of the narrow park And tipped the guy who’d squeezed us in Then headed home in rain and wind.
And if this poem a moral has It’s this; that when you’re headed home and hunger comes, the road is long You’ll eat what’s there. It’s nothing wrong.
Waiting time (Sunday evening) about 10 minutes. Noise: medium loud.

Burger King is supposedly returning to France after a 15-year absence.

Thank god! Now you can cancel your plans to return to Los Angeles. (Although Chicago would have been a better choice, as it has one more BK than Los Angeles.)

Several months after composing that "poem", we were in the Guadalajara Airport, where they not only have a Krispy Kreme donut store, but a BK that will make you a tasty and juicy Whopper, whatever the hour. We ate ours at about 7:30 a.m. prior to a flight to San José, CA. Try getting a Whopper out of scheduled hours at a U.S. BK.

The only chain that has made it to Cambodia is KFC. The local joints aren't so bad, they make every burger individually for each customer, which is why it's not fast food and you always have to wait.

Last time I was in Vietnam, they already had KFC also. And there was some local burger chain, but none of the international ones yet.

In Saigon they've got Lotteria, pronounced LottEria. A Korean burger chain. I went there once just to taste it, very sweet.
