Rainworth - pronouncd as 'Renneth' - "In the year 617 AD, a mighty Roman warrior, Readwald, stayed at the site prior to a battle with Ethelfrith, King of Mercia. In the battle, Readwald's son, Regehere, was killed, and from that day, the area was known as Regehere's Wath (Wath being a ford or crossing point over a river). Over the years, many changes in the spelling of the name have been recorded, from the original Regehere's Wath to Reynwath by 1268, then Raynwath, and then further adapted to the present day name of Rainworth".
In 1975 killer Donald Neilson (the Black Panther) was caught by police officers (one of whom I worked with many years later) helped by locals at the chip shop on Southwell Road East in the village.

Pennington is a small coastal town on the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
It is named after an English family named Pennington. In the late 19th century. Sir Frank Reynolds, the sugar magnate built a holiday home here. King George VI of Britain was offered use of this home when his health was failing in 1952, and was planning to visit it just before he died.

Gansbaai (Dutch/Afrikaans for "bay of geese," sometimes referred to as Gans Bay) is a fishing town and popular tourist destination in the Overberg District Municipality, Western Cape, South Africa. It is known for its dense population of great white sharks and as a whale-watching location.
The main tourist attraction in Gansbaai since approximately 1995 has been cage diving with great white sharks.
