I'm going, I'm going! Booked my hotel today. I can change the dates of the booking which is good because I'm not sure when it will start this year. Last year it was 8 - 12 October. I have reserved a room from 7th - 14th October and hope it covers the time of the fete.
I have been agonizing over a small apartment or the hotel ( each a stones throw from Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro). The hotel won in the end as it has a mini-bar so we can still keep a few eats cool, but I am booking two apartments ahead of this reservation and so would have had enough cooking by then.
Who else will be in Paris during September and October?

And of course you are also going to Paris next year....not long before we can't say that! I am surprised how booked up the apartments are already. Some right through until August.

Yes, true. I made my summer 2015 booking last August or September. Partly because I wanted to be in a particular place with a lower rate, but also because it was a period when I had more free time to search and plan. Now I've got to start booking everything else (flights, hotel in London, Eurostar). The problem is I'm somewhat dependent on my daughter to agree to plans for the first part of the trip and she's not at a point where she's quite ready to commit. Hopefully by mid-January I will be able to pin her down.
I would certainly travel to France in September and October if work didn't get in the way. I'd much prefer the weather and the timing. I'm still debating how long to stay this summer. I figure, if I'm going to pay big fees in airfare, I might as well take advantage of being in France/Europe and do as much as I can while there.

Good for you both for making your accommodation bookings!
We are expecting to be in France for a few weeks in September 2015. I would like to start booking but we are still not firm on our travel dates as we are awaiting a schedule change at the fire hall.
Enjoying spending time researching possibilities though!

Well Mich I hope we can bump into each other !! I have not booked flights yet but will next week as the upgrade seats are few and far between. I have purposely left a few days either side of our hotel-apartment bookings for adjustments. Looks like the tourist trade is alive and kicking all the way to Paris!

Anyway, the date has not yet been set "officially" for the Fête des Vendanges 2015. I imagine that the Paris municipal council and the Préfecture have to approve the date every year, and they probably don't do that more than nine months in advance.

If you all are going to have a meet-up in Paris, you'd better let the rest of us in on it!

With the way the Montmartre apartments are being booked up I think tourists who may have already experienced the occasion, make sure they are in the running for the next one. There is an apartment directly opposite the vineyard which is already booked solid for October.
Come on Bixa - Paris is calling your name.......
