I had a strange and eventually wonderful experience when I added to my Aude report yesterday. I usually write my report with the image links in a word document and then copy and paste. After this I then work through the report inserting the images one by one. Yesterday I was doing this but somehow uploaded the report just a few images in. When I looked at it most of the images had uploaded without me following the normal " insert image" . Some hadn't but when I went back to edit and correct them I could not. Frustrated I gave up. Then when I went back to the posted report all images had now up loaded!
Hope you followed that gibberish and if you did does anyone know how I did it because it would make life so much simpler

Are you meaning you were surprised you uploaded multiple images in one go?
I write reports by putting in a folder the photos I want to use. I then resize them in bulk so they are quicker loading to Postimage. They are usually in the order I want to post them, which is usually in chronological order anyway.
In Postimage, when I come to upload them, I click on the Upload link and a usual window will open to 'Choose images'. That will open my computer and I find the folder with them in. Then I either go - 'Organise' - 'Select all' or use my cursor to sweep across all of them, then click 'Open' and the lot will automatically upload.
A list of those then uploaded will appear and I use the button at the side to copy the list of 'Hotlink for forums'. I open a Word document, if I haven't already done so, and paste that list on to it. I separate each line, insert whatever text I write between whichever photos then copy and paste that on to the forum. I sometimes have to refer between the links and the actual photo to make sure I've got the right one(s) attached to the text I've just written.
Tell me if you know all this and it's something else.......

Thanks Mark - no its not that.
My photos are usually already up loaded onto my host site which is Flickr. So I insert the link from them into my document. Then when I go to post here I copy and paste and then individually insert each image using the insert image button.
Yesterday I did not do use insert image button but they all up loaded - normally I would just get a x with the link next to it showing instead of the pic
PS I realise now this is just about the post image site - I should have posted my query in the flickr posting thread sorry

Hmmmmm. Regardless ~ I read what you wrote with great interest & just tried it with my own flickr image. I copied the address from a picture & pasted it here in the Quick Reply box. Then I pasted the same url into the "insert image" box. Both of them came up instantly! For some reason I thought that the url without the "insert image" would work in Reply, but not in Quick Reply.
