"Things" has a very general sense here, it could be events, experiences, people or other sentient beings, you have it, as well as "things" in the sense of inanimate objects.
Of course this can be things individual posters here like, but also in the sense of blogs such as "Things Dutch people like" and "Things Parisians like".

Seems a great deal like "Little Things that Mean a Lot".

Seems a great deal like "Little Things that Mean a Lot". I agree that they are similar but in a most subtle and broader sense . For instance, I like classical music, To me it's not a little thing that means a lot but falls more under things I like. Little Things that Mean A lot falls (for me) a thread about specific things that crop up on occasion and I want to share. Things I Like is so much broader a topic. Not to say that there will not be some spillover at some points in time in each thread.

I like red Kood-Aid and Jell-O instant chocolate pudding, and yet I have had neither of them in more than 50 years!

There is a particularly beautiful light, blue, mauve and rose, outside my office window on this second shortest day of the year.

I agree with K2 - leeks. Especially since they seem to be quite sturdy, as we still have good local ones here now.

I am too. I think a client from London was surprised to see me respond to his e-mail in real time.

I am frankly delighted every time I manage to throw away my old kitchen sponge and start using a new one. I know it's a bit ridiculous, because sponges really are not every expensive but I tend to hold on to them longer than I should.

I like it when I go to do laundry and go through the pockets and find money. I’m doing laundry today and found nothing but Kleenex in the pockets. (And I missed some of those, because the dryer is full of shredded bits of white paper...)

I like when I’ve just unloaded the dishwasher and every dish in the house is clean. I like when I’ve just done the laundry and all the clothes in the house are clean. I love it when these two things coincide!

Good things! Just remember, "things people like" can also refer to other people, or groups of other people. What Norwegians or Haitians like, what Oaxacans like, what chartered accountants like etc... or by extension what cats, dogs or other sentient beings do even if they aren't exactly "people".

I am not really clear about what you are getting at Lagatta. Are we somehow veering away from the context or intent of the thread? I'm a tad confused.( not out of the ordinary these days and not something that this person likes...)

A lot of blokes in Oz like to think they have the image of "Crocodile Dundee". One wife snickered and reminded her hero that last time the mouse trap needed emptying, the little woman had to do it. Mick Dundee became Captain Squeamish.

Questa helpfully provided an example. Here is one such list, about the Dutch: stuffdutchpeoplelike.com/complete-list/No, not veering from the topic; it can most certainly be what lagatta likes or what casimira likes. But it can also be about what other individuals or groups of people like.

Learning a new word! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagniappe Lagniappe is obviously French, but I've never heard it here, in Acadia, or in European francophone countries. Of Quechua origin - a long way from Louisiana! - there are many words here of Indigenous origins but that is a new one for me.

!!!!! Who knew?! It never occurred to me to look up the word, as I always assumed it was the French word for an originally French custom. Thanks for that wonderful nugget. The word in Mexico is pilón, which according to my dictionary is specific to Mexico: pilón nm MX (extra gratis) bonus, extra n (rare) largesse, lagniappe n Siempre que pido un kilo de papas, el vendedor me da un pilón. source
