I'm not ashamed but I wouldn't say I'm proud either. And I do enjoy rising to the bait once in a while, non- violently of course.

I'm amazed Australia isn't top of the first list; they're the most consistently ridiculous jingoistic chest-beaters I've come across.
Spinny; why are you a little ashamed of your nationality ?

If Ireland and the US score the same, why isn't the US listed FIRST??? We are bigger. And more important. ;-)
Just kidding. Way to go Ireland! (I think. Maybe it's not so good to be as proud of oneself as the US...)

If Ireland and the US score the same, why isn't the US listed FIRST??? We are bigger. And more important! Our little Rumpelstiltskin in France has been acting like that. At all of the major meetings, he has been insisting on being front and center even when placement is supposed to be alphabetical. Ha ha, he has been threatening to walk out of the the G-20 tomorrow if he doesn't get his way on something or other, thinking it will make him look more important even though it will actually make him look more ridiculous, if that is possible.

They said on the news today that the French "First Lady" was skipping the G-20 because she didn't want to have to compete with Michelle Obama....
