I made a batch of empanadas (using locally pre-made dough discs from the Cono Sur bakery round the corner). I used ground turkey, but is was mostly thigh meat, so shouldn't have been too dry as I added quite a bit of sautées red-onion, olives, and garlic, as well as herbs and mild spices. But it needs some kind of sauce or relish - not too acid, please, as I still have problems with heavy tomato sauce. Ideas?

I might be able to find some around the corner at the Cono Sur place (where I refuse to buy empanadas any more, as there is almost no filling).
I hope the tomato sensitivity doesn't last, though. Not that I've ever dumped piles of tomato sauce atop pasta or similar dishes.

I have always found empanadas dry, but maybe I have never had a good one. The last time I ever bought any, I threw them away. Then again, I am not a fan of anything with dough.

Well, if you should attend a party where I've made empanadas, I'll save the naked filling for you, but it won't be very pretty: turkey (or other) mince, onions and other vegetables and herbs, chopped-up olives.
