1.-I spent a night drinking with G. Gordon Liddy and Timothy Leary. 2.- I lived with a house full of peyote eating Navajo Indians. When you are old and grey, Fumobici, you will go into your memory bank and take out a few jewels. They will sparkle like sapphires, rubies and emeralds but the diamonds mark the times when they all came together and the time was perfect. You knew at the time that this was something special- I would love to have been a "fly on the wall" with the Leary/Liddy night. Thank you for sharing your memory-jewels.

So the lie is no 1 -I did own an x racehorse, my gorgeous boy Dartanian ... but he was not famous and only won one race. I think his total earnings were less than a couple of thousand pounds . 2. Is true ...My maternal great great grandfather left Ireland for a better life in Spain and married a Spanish woman before they both returned for a new life in England. No 3 is true, even though she was a Yorkshire lass. I will one day post more about her remarkable journey and life in the thread about class.

I didn't believe the tennis one at all, I can't picture Fumo in tennis attire I'm going to choose #3 as the lie for Questa.

I think No 3 too, I can just imagine Questa negotiating the release of the group's luggage being held for ransom in Tashkent Uzbekistan and also being held to ransom as in No 1

No I'm an avid tennis player and wear tennis shoes and shorts, but with a t-shirt rather than a posh collared tennis shirt.

No trap, how could I fool you fumobici? 1964 I was doing an epic solo drive around the deserts of Oz. Not much in the way of roads and I spiked 2 tyres between Marree and Leigh Creek.Had to overnight at LC to mend them. Normally I would pitch my tent near the town's football field as these had toilets and water taps.I had to report to the local cops all along the Alice Springs-Port Augusta section as a UK family of 5 had perished just a few weeks earlier in this area, lost in the sand and scrub of the Birdsville Track, The young cop asked where I was staying as LC was a closed mining town ie no wives or kids. When I muttered 'tent'he said,"There are 300 men out there who haven't seen a woman in 6 months...you are not going in a tent!" I asked if I could rent a cell for the night"at the going rate" he said that he had a prisoner in the cell so we compromised on me sleeping in my car well and truly locked into the police car garage. Next morning I collected tyres and headed South... Life was so simple when I was 21! (For those interested I was driving a Morris Major Elite with 1800 engine and camping body modification) Lots of you picked the lie...I thought the other options would have been more outlandish.
