Manhunt in Belgium

An ex belgian soldier is on the loose and hundreds of cops and military are trying to find him.

The guy is an ex corporal, he spent years in the army, was sent as a sniper to Yugoslavia, Afghanistan etc. He saw much active duty.
He is acquainted with far right.

He robbed an army arsenal.
He posted that he wanted to kill a virolog - Marc Van Ranst - for obscure reasons.

Now he is in the loose. Police found his car with some weapons, found his medals on his parent's tomb.

That is viral and top of the news since several days here.

Meanwhile Van Ranst is in hiding too and protected.

There is a support page for the ex soldier on FB called 'als 1 achter Jurgen' that has attracted 36 k likes in several days !

And I see that there have been demonstrations in support of the creep.

Is this sort of thing becoming more common? Sure, there have been violent Islamists for quite a while, but from other milieux...
