A split second sooner or later and you would not have been able to post that picture here, because the pigeon would have hidden the clock! But it's a great picture!

actually the square there was full of pidgeons, so it was only a matter of time to get that shot... might post another picture at one of the other threads at some point to show just how many pidgeons where there...

For some reason, they were on display in the Palais de Chaillot, next to the gift shop of the architecture museum.

Bixa, those old LP's make superb clocks! Not long ago a young student walked in my shop with an LP bag.(Cleverly made holes all around the edges then crochet'd a joining string to some fabric that formed the 'join' to the LP on the other side).
The doll next to the old clock sure has Betty Davis eyes!

Tod, Bixa, when in an Antique Shop this weekend, I stood and listened to a father trying to explain to his young son how the vinyl record was indeed the source of the music he was hearing. He had quite a difficult time trying to explain how the needle was receiving the recording and the song came out the speaker. The child just could not believe it! It was a charming moment as the child listened with such respect and interest. The clocks in this thread are so varied in styles, fun. Cheers, Mich

Charming recollection of a charming moment, mich.
Interesting that a child of the iPod age finds a record album incomprehensible, but totally accepts without question that all that music is stored inside that tiny little rectangle with the earbuds.

Maybe the times are wrong, but both pictures are very, very good. Thanks, bixa dear. The Stoverud clock is a replacement/replica for a 100 year old mechanical clock that was smashed by an errant delivery truck. The new works are quartz, so it is fairly accurate.
