Is it my eyes, or is it really a half-moon? It looks half in all the photos. Deyana, those bare branches against the night sky are really pretty.

I just found the moon phase chart for Winnipeg and it says 69.1% illuminated for tomorrow night so it's over 60% tonight... what's the problem?

Okay, my poor little camera was simply not up to this task. It's really a shame, because there was a lovely corona of clouds around the moon tonight. However, I have managed to capture the sound of the moon! These pics were taken @ an hour ago. (around 6:30 pm CST)

Beauty! The sound is really cool.
I did try to get another pic after the sun had set but the clouds foiled my attempt. Maybe tomorrow - but I'm not hopeful.

I think I'll put up another picture tonight of the moon. It definitely looked like a crescent (quarter) moon to the naked eye, but I can see that on the photo it looks like a half moon.

Still cloudy where you are, casimira? Well, I finally got another picture of the moon, and yes, it's definitely a half, actually nearly a three quarter, moon now.
