Another sunny day with 22° today. Supposed to be a bit cooler tomorrow. And we need some rain. We went for a walk and the ground is hard and beginning to crack, just like in August.

It snowed all morning. I am very ready for some spring weather, hoping we do not go from winter to summer, there is way to much snow to melt!

Spring is pretty weak so far, but it is still spring -- slightly better weather with a hope for improvement. I guess that is what spring is supposed to be in the first place.

The weather in N Australia doesn’t look too clever. Two cyclones converging. Rather spectacular coverage of the rain pelting down in huge sheets. Tropical crops will be wiped out. Meanwhile Western NSW is still in drought. Meanwhile my poor bedraggled garden has just had a good shower this morning. Temp mid 20s Hello Autumn.

Today almost felt warm. I even opened the windows for an hour. That makes me happy! While there is still at least 2 feet of snow, the sun is shining and the temperature is above 0. The slow melt is continuing. We plugged in the sump pump and the sump hole keeps filling up so we are keeping it plugged in during the day and let it drain into the floor drain through the night. The ground did not completely freeze this winter due to the early snow and then the depth kept the ground insulated.

I had a mail from my son in Canada yesterday. He said the river outside is still completely frozen but that he heard the first geese flying over the river last night. And that so far they had 137 consecutive days of snow on the ground this winter but that spring was in the air.
Meanwhile it's still warm and sunny here although the wind started to blow from the southeast so it doesn't feel quite so warm with its 40-50 kph gusts.

Nice spring weather ... sunshine and no wind. We drove to the seaside yesterday and made a long walk. Even had to take our sweaters off because it got too warm in the sun. Looks as if we'll have the same weather today ... sun is shining in my kitchen.

I couldn’t live where you are Mich I do not want to live here either today Mick! It is snowing again, predicting 15cm! We felt hopeful yesterday, a mild sunny day, we had BBQ chicken for dinner and started some spring cleaning but it looks like a Christmas greeting card out there now. bjd we normally go to Ottawa every year on this weekend (my husband's birthday!) and their is usually no or very little snow anywhere. I believe we are about 3 weeks behind.

This morning it's cold and raining quite heavily. According to the weather forecast we're in for at least a few days of cold, wet weather. I'll have to wear my big coat when I walk the dog....I have a big, yellow, waterproof monstrosity with a hood...I look like a JCB digger stomping down the road in my huge coat and big black wellies (with flowers on...I hate them but they fit)

We have now moved to the coast. I spent the last 2 days in Bayonne where it was quite nice and warm but came here this morning. It had rained and it has been windy all day with rain on and off, but not the hail and really high winds forecast. Only 9°C at 5:30 pm.

A bit of hail this morning, rain on and off, lots of wind. Then this afternoon it calmed down, the sun came out, the puddles dried up and I spent a couple of hours in the garden. Why do weeds grow so much faster than everything else? At 7pm it is 14°C.

I see the promise of a beautiful sunny day, and although it's ice-cold right now, we're supposed to get 15°C. And somewhat warmer tomorrow.
