Who knew she was still alive? Gina Lollobrigida dead at 95. There was a flurry of interest not so long ago when she stood for Senator in thr Italian elections (for a very minor party, so she got nowhere)

Hard to tell. I think the movie may have been a tad anachronistic when you look at how clean the people are, how immaculate their clothing is and how perfectly neat the pavement is.

There is something about cute, wholesome Cindy William's dying that seems particularly shocking. Really nice obituary, though.

And now little Wednesday is gone: Due to the popularity of the recent series I had seen various clips of Lisa Loring as a child and re- remembered her.

I had not seen any clips until I looked at that obit clip. But I did read that Jenna Ortega studied Lisa Loring's Wednesday to prepare herself for the iconic role.

Goodbye, Raquel Welch. I was actually affected by very few sex symbols as a teenager, but Raquel Welch was one of them. Only 82, rather young by current standards.

Tom Sizemore has been unplugged (brain aneurysm on 18 February). Age 61, tough guy character actor (Saving Private Ryan, Natural Born Killers, Heat...), lots of substance abuse and domestic violence.

Another American actor with a complicated personal life, Robert Blake of TV (Barretta) and movie (In Cold Blood) fame, has died. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Blake_(actor)“ Owing to Blake becoming one of the first child actors to successfully transition to mature roles as an adult, author Michael Newton called his career ‘one of the longest in Hollywood history.’ In March 2005, Blake was tried and acquitted of the 2001 murder of his second wife, Bonny Lee Bakley. In November 2005, he was found liable in a California civil court for her wrongful death.”

Not a star of the big screen but a very popular character here in the uk. Comedian, performer and all round good egg Paul O'Grady's death was announced yesterday. A household name here, this lovely gentleman started out performing as a drag artist...(his stage name ws 'Lily Savage') in the 70s.
He appeared (amongst other things) in the comedy musical 'Prisoner Cell Block H' as well as hosting popular game shows on tv.
He had a razor sharp wit and was known later for his work with the Battersea Dogs Home, he adored dogs and presented a show featuring dogs being rescued, treated and rehomed. He campaigned for gay rights too...lovely, lovely man. A national treasure. He will be missed.
