Oh Happy - lucky you! I love Ticino. Do you want to rent out your place down there (to me?)

I'm going to spend next week skiing, then I will insist that spring arrive in Montana!
But if it doesn't, I've got 2 weeks in Florida to look forward to. Surely by mid-May it will be spring here!

Last night we had the first big rainfall of the year. It started out around 9pm and was still going when I went home around 1. This morning the streets were clean and the air was fresher and just a little bit cooler. I hope it really starts now.

I go all weak at the knees when you speak German Gyro. A big rufty tufty beer drinking male ordering me around, in German, floats my boat.

Oh Happy - lucky you! I love Ticino. Do you want to rent out your place down there (to me?) spindrift, we don't rent it out (we used to, bad experience and my dad decided to not rent it out again) but maybe you want to come and visit me there sometime? I might start thinking about planning a pissup there actually...

Nearest airports are either Zurich or Milano. Our danish friend usually flies to milano and rents a car from there, it's about 1.5 hours drive.
Gyro, LOL !

re the pissup, our sweet palesa is considering coming to visit me sometime (she needs to sort out her financial stuff first so it might take quite some time) this year or next year, so we'll let you know and I'll organise something. I hope you are not scared of ghosts and spiders The ghosts are friendly but the spiders are ugly...

When Gobsie comes to visit, put my name top of the list to visit. We can organise a road trip from the UK to get out there or else fly.

Today was lovely and springlike and I worked in the garden, beginning the cleanup of the debris. Tomorrow, we are supposed to have 3" of snow.

Frustrated with my physical limitations but grateful nonetheless that I've repaired myself. Overnite, cold front, gusts this a.m.,wind advisories out on the bridges,48F!! High for today to be 60F(perfect to me) but plunge to record low tonite upper 30F's.

We're getting up to 20°C today in Paris -- but rain is scheduled for tonight and temperatures over the next few days will drop drop drop. After all, it's only April.

Re Happy's Pi55up.....those of us in the UK can fly to Milan and share the cost of renting a car. I'll leave the driving to Iain as I've never driven on the right.
My Swiss friends (living in St. Gallen) confirm that it's easier for Englanders to approach the Tessin from Milan rather than from Zurich....

Re the pissup, writeon, you could also catch a train from either Milano or Zurich. But then it's handy to have a car. I have just come back from the tessin, there is enough room for about 10-max 11 people. Should be fun !
