here it is more cloudy now but still warm and no rain... spent some time yesterday and today at the playground across the street, as my little brother was there... the kids all seem to really enjoy the weather and being outdoors.

Easter Sunday was a glorious sunny spring day in Montana. Today is cloudy and threatening April showers. Crocus in bloom, birds attacking their reflections in windows and investigating nest sites. I do believe spring has arrived.
Winter went out with a bang - the skiing last week was fabulous.

We have had a lovely long weekend in Paris. Tomorrow I 'm leaving on a three-day rainy holiday.

It's been a beautiful sunny day in southern England. I wonder whether it's still pouring down rain at Baz's. Mrs Baz said that snow had settled on the hills above them.

was nice over easter. wasn't outdoors that much though, except for saturday, where we cycled 35 km to a climbing site, and after climbing for a few hours cycled home. the weather was ideal for climbing - warm, dry, but not so hot you sweat... on the way home though it got a bit windy, which was a bit annoying, but we managed...

Spring is a bit chilly where I live. At least my garden is starting to grow.

How unfortunate that one has to be registered at TTR to see that poll. Quite a few of our members do not come from TTR and do not even know what it is.

Oh, I didn't realise, I'll do one here too in that case when we are getting closer. Thanks for letting me know.

Any reason why someone wouldn't register on TTR if they wanted to see it? Once you're registered, you can set it to recognize your computer everytime you visit, so it's not like you have to keep re-entering your sign in info.
Unlike another site many of us used to visit...

Well, for one thing, this place is trying to be a travel site that includes random discussion. Anybody who doesn't know TTR -- well, just go over there and look at the site as though you were seeing it for the first time. Is it a travel site? Are some of the branches completely abandoned? What are the people talking about? Can you honestly imagine that anybody who does not already know the people there could possibly be interested? I don't want to sound petty, but the manager of that site often creates posts like the immortal "I lost my car keys. I hate that." Boy, that will sure pull people in!

The sites should not be compared or linked in any case. They are completely different entities. I continue to use 5 different similar sites, for different reasons and different needs.

Well tough luck chum, because you do sound petty, and a snob, and like somebody who has a particular chip on their shoulder. Like, there's NO posts of that nature on here ..... Get your head out of your arse; you're perfectly capable of making decent responses when you put your mind to it.

Tough luck about what? I am very much satisfied about where the different types of posts are going.
I have nothing against drivel being posted here as long as it is in the correct place.

Crocuses are peaking here and the first daffodil is about to bloom. Wild buttercups are all over and the wild crocus called Pasque Flower is blooming. No stopping spring now!

As K said - we're into tulips, apple and cherry blossom here with sycamore leaves making an appearance. Quite a sharp wind though.

well that is true, it is a bit chilly right now, and was not that warm during the day either - but sunny, so it still felt nice.
