i thought noodles aren't exactly diet food? or are the ones you mean very different from pasta? I use dried egg noodles Rikita, pretty much the same as pasta. Boil for 5 minutes then drain and stir 'fry' (I just spray the pan with oil) with a tiny bit of grated ginger and garlic, soy sauce and chilli fakes..anything I fancy just to add a bit of flavour without too many calories. It's filling. (cant eat a lot of it) I'm following the Slimming World diet...lost 12 lbs so far...loads more to loose...

hm ok, i never followed any specific diet, just counted calories, and there i just found that with mainly vegetables i can get much more food for the same amount of calories than with pasta (not that i won't eat some pasta, too ...), but i tend to like eating big portions, so maybe that's why ...

An Asianish soup with a mix of homemade jellied stock and some powdered stock, leftover chicken, shredded, bok choy, spring onions, sorrel, lovage and other stuff, just warmed through, as well as a little slab of rice vermicelli. Almost instant to put together, but of course I'd made the stock earlier.

Went to a waterpark and hot hungry at about 3:30. Found most Restaurants closed, one was just closing but allowed us to order something - no time to look much at the menu, just ordered three pizzas - only realized after that that's quite a lot, so we Kind of Over ate ...

Lunch at the Uruguayan steak house, Parrilla y Canilla, in Morelia. Possibly Morelia's best restaurant. Bife de chorizo, my favorite cut of beef steak, cooked over a wood fired grill.

Don, Is that rib-eye! Looking at the lovely fat marbling, I suspect it is. Yum!

A knowledgeable friend has told me that it is, indeed, ribeye. However, the restaurant menu identifies it as "New York", and a different cut as "ribeye".
Yesterday's steak was good, but not quite up to the quality of steaks past. There was some untrimmed cartilage on the end. And for some reason, my bife de chorizos are never as juicy as my companions "vacíos". Maybe I need to change. We shared a large order of house-made French fries and I had a side of fresh asparagus.
In all, I can't complain.

Don, Having recently bought 'New York' Strip steaks I could lay my head on a block that they served you Rib-eye. A much better steak. Lets just say the chef had been at the cooking sherry....

I accede to your judgement. But I think that the chef had been at the Tequila. By the way, Parrilla y Canilla has an extensive wine list, which they show to you on an iPad. It takes time to swipe through it. We usually know which wine we want ahead of time. " Vino Tinto—Red", and they show us a bottle of red wine. Here's their website. Dessert was unusually good: a bittersweet, chocolate mousse cake for me, and an individual apple strudel for our amiga.

No lunch - except if you call scraping the last bit of Brie out of the tub with a few crackers and a mouthful of rose'. But Sunday will be an extravaganza of a lunch. Beside it being Father's Day my husband turn 72 the following week, so we are having one huge lunch party on Sunday. I need all of you to help me.... Especially if you are a dab hand at de-veining monster prawns. Only 3kgs so it won't take long.

I was wondering what the hell a "civito canadiense" was, but looking it up, I saw that it wasn't a little kid who played midget hockey, but a type of Uruguayan sandwich: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chivito_(sandwich) though it claims that churrasco steak is filet mignon, and any I've eaten had far more texture. And of course: The Canadian Chivito (in Spanish Chivito Canadiense) is a variation of the sandwich, with the addition of Canadian bacon (which is back bacon in Canada). Not with poutine! As for me, some chicken merguez and some curtido salad I'd made with RED cabbage.

Are snow peas similar to sugar snap peas Mark? I'm growing them atm and they never get as far as a plate...we pick and eat them in the garden!
Weigh in day...after my blip last week (put 2 lb back on after my greedy two days in London followed by 2 pub lunches and much beer) I lost 3 lb. So as a treat today I had a open sandwich with tinned tuna steak in spring water, lettuce, grated radish, spring onion, cucumber, peppers and grated carrot....on lovely nutty wholeness bread. Nom.

Cheery, sugar peas are sugar snap peas, also called snap peas. I call the flat ones snow peas, also I know those as mangtout. It's my mistake in the post and I'll alter it now. It should be sugar peas.
Mick, I am at home, i.e. Zambia. It was just what I had in the fridge. I thought it looked colourful and good.
